His plaintive cries for help were heard by the pride and a trio of lionesses attempted to scale down the cliff but pulled back due to the sheer drop. Eventually, the cub's mother gingerly climbed down the cliff and snapped up her baby boy with her jaws. Mother and son slowly made the trek back up where the cub was given a tongue lashing by the doting lioness. I think this shows that there's nothing stronger than a mother's love for her baby, where she'd risk her own life to save her son
